Great tips, Cherry! Wish we had done a honeymoon registry instead instead of a typical gift registry. Using The Knot website was super helpful for ideas and getting organized, especially the timeline function that let me know what needs to be done by what date, and keeping the guest list nice and tidy. I totally agree with not trying to leave too much DIY for the week of, and to delegate most of the work. Being able to relax and just work on getting dolled up on the day of was the best choice. 🙂
I did a candy table and cookie table. My mother in law made all the cookies. It was a huge hit and really inexpensive since we both got our ingredients in bulk 🙂

Nothing that went wrong or right on my wedding day matters. I have been married for over 15 years now. We have 3 amazing boys.
My boys actually just recently watched the wedding video. I sat there and laughed and told them oh this is the part where when changing the music to the wedding March power 106 came on and you can see me dancing all silly to the music.
Great advice, especially about seeing each other for a few mins before the ceremony. That's something I wouldn't have thought of but totally makes sense. 💗

Great tips , we did our own wedding stuff too and I did my own invites by having a friend draw them up on the computer had them printed out at staples on color card stock two fit per sheet for over 200 invites we only spent 20$
I really enjoyed this. I do agree that videographer is a must and I still say that the smartest thing I did (besides MARRY him) was to do our own private first look. It was one of my favorite moments of the night and it was so nice to share that with him.
As a photographer I can't stress enough: spend the money on a photographer who's style you love, and never ask a photographer friend to shoot your wedding and reception! They want to enjoy your day, not work! And if you are really strapped for cash, check the photography students at your local college/university. Some incredible talent at half the cost (but pay them well anyway, starving artist/college kid needs and deserve pay too)

When you look back you remember things about the process and I think that passing the baton (or some other passing knowledge metaphor), is really helpful to nervous brides.I love that you saw each other before that is a really cute little moment to have before you have the ceremony😀heart=melting
I really like that idea of having a wedding website, it makes so convenience for all the guests to get all the information especially the part where you said about local hotels and attractions.

Wowzers! I was looking for a video that helped me. I am freaking out because what girl doesn't want their dream wedding but if there are other alternatives to save, then thats a plus! Yes! Right before I watched this video I read a flower proposal email for $760…. that's 2 bouquets, arch flowers and 1 table runner… insert me sweating here… I'm getting married at a botanical garden down here in San Diego though and I don't really want any other decorations. I agree on not wanting "stuff" either when you've been together a while. I was considering just saying "please no gifts.. your presence is enough" or something… Definitely going to watch your other videos! Thanks! Your private moment before the wedding made me teary. 😉
