I’m a huge fan of your unboxing videos. I’m not planning a wedding but I still loved this video! You are so pragmatic and explain your advice clearly. I’m bookmarking this for all my friends planning weddings right now!
My husband and I will celebrate 4 years on August 22nd. Mom and I had a good time planning. If you like Etsy stuff I found a lot of decor there. We got married at a vineyard so it was more outdoesey but turned out pretty.
I got married 20 years ago and still enjoyed this wedding video! I think you gave a lot of great advice. I'm happy for you and I'm excited to watch the videos of your journey!
Soooo informative!! I am not getting married yet but my best friend is and I’ll be by her side as Maid of Honor. So we’ve been going through the motions trying to get her all figured out. She loves the Knot too!! I’m going to share this video with her.
Such a great video, informative as always. Luckily Kevin has been married once and I'm anti weddings, so we've together going on 11 years and there is no desire for a wedding from either of us. I just feel like weddings these days are so over the top and money can be better spent elsewhere like a down payment on a house. That opinion is mine and mine alone. I have been to a number of weddings and the number one thing that I would ask is what is the dress code. We went to a wedding and they did not allow heels because they scratched the floor or open toed sandals or shoes for safety reasons. I've now experienced that at two different venues over the years.
Keeping the ceremony and reception in the same place was the best thing I did, makes everything more relaxed and more time to enjoy it instead of stressing about timeline and travel. I spent the most money on the venue and catering. Because our venue was so beautiful we didn't need much decor, and I made my own pinwheels which will always be a special memory. I am sure you will do a great job.
I got married 6 years ago and all i want to say is enjoy it! Planning is so much fun down to the littlest details! Like the biggest thing for me was roses! I had cascade roses when I walked down the isle. When I walked in to my reception it looked like a dream! I hope you take in every step of the way! My only disappointment? My cake was half chocolate half vanilla and when they served the cake we got served last and all the chocolate was gone! No!!!! Congratulations! Looking forward to your videos! I remember my wedding day and relive it constantly! Also your honeymoon is very important so give that some thought too! Guess where I went? Im a big Disney girl so thats where we went and had the best time!
I’ve watched like 7 of these and this was one of the best first step videos I’ve watched. THANK YOU!!!
Congrats on your engagement! I grew up in MS as well!
