It's not a Victorian wedding gown if they don't up their sleeves and laced high collars game, these were known as their trademark fashion for high nobles back in the day
What a lovely bride and regal dress. How special to have her photo along side each person who wore this dress. This is way better than a modern cookie cutter wedding dress.
My mom wants me to wear her wedding dress whenever I end up getting married. Problem is, she's almost 6ft tall while I'm only 5ft. She also outweighs me by nearly 100Lbs and wears a 40C bra, while I wear a 34DDD. So needless to say that's not going to happen. The amount of altering and tweaking it would take for it to fit my body would turn it into a different dress altogether, so I may as well just have one all my own. I'd hate to be forced to carry on a tradition like this anyway. I'd insist on them choosing another family member if they all want it to continue THAT badly. I should get to wear my own wedding dress on my wedding day…
(Edit) Also, the dress only really fit and suited the original bride. Much like Kim Kardashian destroying Marilyn Monroe's custom dress, you can tell this dress was made for her, and her alone.
That is a beautiful tradition. My wedding dress that was handmade by a wonderful seamstress in 1979 was burned up in my house fire in 1986 yes I was saving it for my daughter. I was heartbroken but thankful no one was injured.
Wow it’s a nice dress I hope they will donate to the museum it’s a piece of art looking back to 18 century that much better than what they got now in market even from those high end designers
That dress is ugly AF!!! and the husband would agree with me with his "“The bride is more beautiful than the dress” comment… My family had a wedding dress that was passed down 3 generations, My great grandmother wore it and her husband passed away on their wedding night. my grandmother wore it and my grandfather skipped town when she told him that she was pregnant. my mother wore it and she and her first husband annulled their wedding after he was caught cheating with the best man… My mother burned the dress the day after the annulment…
It looked like a different dress in the first photo! How is it the same one 😂
Wow!🤩
I have goosebumps so beautiful

How many of them got divorced?
A hideous old dress. Retire it.
That’s so cool.
Amazing
If one of the brides in the future ruin that dress…..there definitely gonna be dead
The first one to wear look how the waist is snatched like theres no ribs existing and also the skirt like balloon

What’s crazy is they’re all the same or similar sizes. What luck.
It's the same dress but the ladies all looked differently beautiful

Nothing like wearing a dress that 10 women have worn.
That is really neat!
