Hey Jessica! …nobody teaches this and it's soooo frustrating to me. I know my way around a camera pretty well, but some of these more technical types of tricks and effects are things I still have yet to conquer and really figure out. THANK YOU soooo much for doing this for us!! I would sure give the world for you to also do a couple of videos teaching us how to photograph sparkler exits, light trails with wedding reception dance photos, how to photograph those cigar smoke photos of the guys on wedding day, and how to get that hair spray shot when the bride is getting ready. I'd also love to learn how to do some of those trick photos that so many of you do on wedding days – the reflection, shooting through things, bokeh lights, ring shots with an extra fun flair, etc. A super fun photographer that does a lot of this stuff is Jason Martin with Concept Photography. This guy has some super cool photography tricks and effects and I still have yet to figure out how he does a lot of them.
I realize this is four years later so you might not remember but do you have a record of what your histogram looked like for photo found at 1:49 ? Thank you and I appreciate your video ๐
"Natural light" translation: I don't want to invest money in lighting or time in learning lighting techniques. You're doing 'wedding' photos with parked cars in the background?!
Hi Jessica. Do you have an on matrix metering? I am shooting a friends wedding outside and I was thinking of using my flash to fill in the face if itโs too brightโฆ Too much contrast to brite in the background
Can may I know how do make editing for those photos? are u using adobe lightroom? if u use so can i know ur setting filter for the adobe lightroom. i would appreciate if u helps me to be a best photographer for my sister wedding day!
Nice however though just for tutorial purposes, I would concentrate o the background, things you don't need, cars kids on bikes etc, plus f2.5 is always iffy with couples, one being a little more blurred than the other.

Thanks for this tutorial? Can you tell me the specifics of the lens you used. Looks like a prime lens? What is is 35mm 1.8?

I know this place. It is Belle Isle ๐
It's not called a neck tie pin, it's called a tie bar and it's used to bump up the tie knot. Not worn like that lol that looks RickDiculous.
Is this the nyc botanical garden? If so real nice place to shoot at
I remember Marzia and Pewds shot on this one 8:24 ๐ beautiful!
8:50 that look so awkward and out of place
I'm addicted to your videos, Jessica! They're amazing!

Well her pictures are nice, but these can't be considered professional ? The dynamic range on the photos are terrible . Or is it just me .
Excited
Why no flash?
Blow out highlight
Tnk U
"..Position the bride and groom behind the sun.." Wow ๐๐
Wow a few people commenting on the backround and highlights hmm , come show us how it's done the proper way . Not using editing but with the camera .
I would love to see how these are edited. If I shot from that angle, my subjects would be too dark. How do you do this?!
This is so helpful! Thank you!
Not knocking this video at all, but i think you should have used an ND filter to really bring out that background. too blown out for me.
Good job!
(Punta Cana <3) Dominican in the house!
Within the first few seconds of the video I knew the exact spot you were in. Belle isle is one of my favorite places to take clients!
From michigan too. wedding photographer. Nice to meet you

Is the bride a model?
Are you in aperture priority mode? Is ISO set or on Auto?
Nice photos. What are your presets? And are they for sale?
