Great video! 😊
What lens were you using for those ring shots and close ups of the details? Also was there a particular reason you chose to set up studio strobes opposed to using a speed light on your camera? I am guessing using the strobes allows you to move around and get a decent shot wherever you go? You would only set them up if the church or venue was really dark correct? Thanks in advance!
Really informative video with lots of helpful tips. Thank you for sharing your knowledge! <3
Thank you for this! It has been so helpful. I am shooting my first wedding in September and have no idea what to expect! I'm going to watch more of your videos!
at what circumstances do you not recommend using big high power studio strobes inside a church? i guess the walls have to be pretty bright so the flash light can bounce back.
Really? Go to someones wedding and take before photos. Call Danny 215.510.2665
you mention the lights you used to capture the color in the bouquet at 10.15 … would a speed light create this same effect?
Thanks buddy… really helpful and ignore all the negative comments and feedbacks ok? Respect and keep them coming 🙂
I have a wedding to shoot soon in a church very much like this one and I must say I feel like your video helps a lot. Thank you very much for sharing.
very helpful! great visuals
I have to shoot a wedding that will be taking place in a hall. However, the reception tables are staying for the ceremony as well. The room is rectangular and they are walking out through the door far towards the left, walking in between tables, cutting in front of a row of chairs that people will be sitting in and then down and "isle" that will be about eight steps if they're lucky. I don't even know where to get my shots at this point.
And am I taking photos of the bridal party walking down? It's just the bridesmaids. The groomsmen will already be up there.
Great video. Thank you for making it! Very helpful.
Are you from the Trenton Area?
enjoyed the video did a wedding two years ago, my first. Got a lot of the important shots. But now can better situate myself after this video. I'm doing an outside wedding in two weeks I think this will help me get even better shots. Thank you i've watched a good bit of your videos and find them helpful.
I have a question. At 16:16 in the video you spoke about not using the strobes because the ceiling was dark. Could you have bounce the strobes by point the strobe at the wall? The wall seems to be light in color.
Thank you so much for this! My first wedding in August. This is very helpful!
Friend of family wants me to shoot her wedding… IM NOT A WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER!!!. but this was soooo helpful
this is so useful thanks for the tips.
I have my very first wedding booked for the end of next year. thank for this information.
What lens did you use for the hand holding shots and how close where you?
Can you do a video on how to edit your images in Photoshop/LightRoom? How do you workflow so efficient, and finally how to your images look so professional?
I have a 7D and 24-70mm L 1 and 2 and I can not get those images to look the way you make them look. I'm always shooting manually and I'm 99.9% sure I'm doing everything right on my Camera. Please help. Thanks.
Awsome video thanks! I'm shooting a friends wedding for first time . This video helps so much!!
i'd like to start doing weddings soon, i've shot a whole lot of studio stuff and some outdoors but i've never would've thought of using my strobe lights like the way you did, so thanks for the tip 🙂
Loved this tutorial and thank you for the tips.!
I absolutely loved this tutorial, not to brag but you've made me realize I'm in the right path, I don't own professional gear whatsoever but I'm glad I'm on the same page as of where to stand or what kind of shots to look for. If on the upcoming videos you can comment maybe making a list of do's and don't's it'd be GREAT! keep up the tutorials coming I LOVE them!
First Wedding ever is coming up in September, and I am trying to study up so I can get a grasp on how do do this!! Great tutorial, thank you!
What about the settings?? Indoor light is usually a bit dark, do we raise the ISO ??
hi, would you be able to help me out with some of pictures, if i send you links to my pictures, would you be able to use them on your channel to critique them, so that i can get my mistakes corrected….
Well hopefully im not too restricted, I have my first church wedding next month and want to make it the best it can be. the vid was a great help tho, will cheak out some more of yours
So what happens if u do walk around and use a flash? surly not kick u out and create a scene and potentially ruin the wedding for the couple, its all about the couple and they are the ones that want the best shots the most, bullshit rule isn't it!
You said you've done some weddings where you have to pick a spot and stay there. Why is that? The Church's rules?
